god2Beni Daan Pooja: And then we have another news from Allahabad that is going to make the Eves feel a bit better.  The Beni Daan Pooja or Veni Daan, is conducted in Allahabad city at Sangam. The significance of this Pooja that is performed by the elder couples, is that the hubby plaits the hair of the wife and then cuts the edges evenly. The hair thus obtained along with pooja items are fervently offered in the holy river. The myth is that by doing so the couple are said to be united for the rest of the seven lives. Probably this ritual might be the last remembrances of a long lasting marital bliss. Because as of now marriages are slowly turning as short stints.

god3Child love for mother: Another incident that I felt you must know is that a 12-year-old son who had tried to save his mother from the abusive clutches of a stranger, was arrested by police in Lucknow. The son saw his mother being caught by the neck by a priest after a heated altercations got wild. He immediately ran in and brought out his father's single barrel gun and shot at the priest, who succumbed immediately. The brave lad who had defended his mother had no feelings of regret and said he would behave in the same manner if somebody misbehaved with his mother. Normally all of us talk about mothers love, but this lad becomes the unsung hero for his love and duty towards his mother.

god4Celebrity news: Well our celebrity for for the day is not from the filmy background but is a man from Tech arena. Satish Dhawan was an Indian aerospace engineer. He was considered as the father of experimental fluid dynamics research in India. Numerous devotees participated in this Maha Radhotsavam and TTD took extra caution to make the occasion a joyful one.

god8Harbhajan Singh: Sports: Bhajju turns hero overnight, his splendid form in the first tough encounter of Team India with England proved the point. The spinnie is getting compliments from all quarters.

From the epics: Bhagavad-Gita: Last week we had a glimpse of the  eleventh chapter Visvarupa-Darsana Yoga, which deals mainly with 'The Vision of the Universal Form.' and today we have a look at the twelfth chapter Bhakti Yoga, incidentally this is the last of the six middle chapters also known as Bhakti Yoga. This is the most important chapter of the middle chapters which deals mainly with, 'The Path of Devotion.' In this chapter the Lord Krishna reveals to his disciple Arjuna, amidst Kurukshetra that human life's ultimate goal is to reach God.  He explains the various forms of devotion and the types of people who adhere to the forms to reach God. This is vital for all of us to understand that God is the ultimatum and in him we begin our journey and it indeed in him that our journey ends too.
