President will be visiting the Temple town to participate in the Telugu Mahasabhas after having the darshan of the Lord.

History Wishesh: The tragedy of the day was in 2007 when the former Pakistan Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto was assassinated in a bombing in Rawalpindi during one of her election campaigns. Being the eldest daughter of the another former prime minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, she was a renowned figure in the Pakistan politics. She led the  Pakistan People's Party founded by her father and right now the same party represented by her husband Asif Ali  Zardari is ruling the country.

Yes early in the morning due to the current hike in Diesel rates, RTC has hiked fares by a Rupee. So take the necessary change to avoid unnecessary embarrassments. Then the monthly season tickets are also bound to rise, as a part of the chain reactions. However not everything is bad, we have the cushion to take such issues. And we have God sent saviors, the politicians to protest over this hike as well. Of course they too need some issue to go about, is it not. So lets get back to business.

Celebrity news: Actor turned politician and Rajya Sabha member Chiranjeevi (popularly called as the Megastar) is all set to become the next Minister for Steel in the central cabinet. The reshuffle might take place this week say political observers. That is news for the entire state and to global NRI's from the state. Today is the seventh of the ongoing ‘Brahmotsavam' of Lord Venkateswara and the Lord is taking a stroll in the Mada streets around the temple on Tirumala. In the morning along with his consorts he was mounted atop the golden Surya Prabha Vahanam and is being taken around in a grand procession.  The day culminates with a mighty midnight procession on his Chandraprabha Vahanam. Both the processions are a delight to his devotees.

Ordinary darshan will just take a  minimum seventeen hours for the devotees in queue. Tirumala is spruced up with festive galore for the ongoing Brahmotsavam. Today being the fifth day,  the Lord along with his consorts will be taken out in procession in the Garudotsavam, that shall commence at 8pm and stretch till 1 am in the morning. The whole place will be lit up with lights and the devotees line up in thousands for the special occasion. As for the day's schedule, the Lord will be decorated in the Mohini Avataram in the morning. In the evening Vunjal Seva (swing seva) will be celebrated for the Lord. The day culminates with a mighty midnight procession.

 Konda Lakshman Bapuji: The sudden death of Konda Laksman Bapuji is a real setback to the age-old Telangana struggle. The doyen who had fought for the rights of the people since the Nizam's is no more. He died in the early hours of Friday after ailing for some time, in his residence in Hyderabad city.

 

The Hindu 'Kasturi': 'The Hindu,' an Indian National newspaper that pioneers in recording news in addition to various other articles, is bereaved by the demise of Sir G Kasturi who had pioneered in the modernization of the paper.
