Terror Attack In Hyderabad

HYDERABAD BLASTS -"TERROR ATTACK IN HYDERABAD"

HYDERABAD BLASTS -"TERROR ATTACK IN HYDERABAD"

Once again Hyderabad becomes the target of TERROR ATTACK!
It's really mournful that on Thursday evening, once again Hyderabad becomes the target of terror attack when two powerful explosions intoxicated through crowded areas at Dilsukhnagar which is in the eastern part of the State capital, killing more than 22 persons and injuring more than 83.

HYD-Blast-01

Moreover, the first blast occurred at 6.50 p.m. on the city’s busiest road that links it with Vijayawada; as terrified people were running and going hastily to safety, when the second blast went off.

HYD-Blast-02

According to the authorities, the explosions were caused by improvised explosive devices that could have been kept on bicycles or packed inside frames of bicycles.

As a matter of fact, the twin blasts brought back painful memories of the August 25, 2007 IED attacks in Lumbini Park, in front of the State secretariat, and at Gokul Chat in Kothi that killed 44 people.

HYD-Blast-03

Parenthetically, one of Thursday’s blasts took place near a crowded foot over-bridge, where security forces defused an IED five years ago when the device was to go off along with the blasts in Lumbini Park and Gokul Chat.

In fact, eyewitnesses at Anand Tiffin Centre blast, near the spot where the first blast took place, said someone began shouting about a bomb going off while confused people watched and just moment the IED to explode with suddenness and violence.

HYD-Blast-04

Thursday's violence attack once again brings shock, tension, chaos, rage and mourn in the minds of hyderabadi's

HYD-Blast-05

It's mournful as well shameful for the whole Nation to face such violence act killing the innocents just for mere revenge. One thing the terrorists should understand that truth can never be diluted with killings rather that invites more hanging and hanging. In fact, the social filths and the culprits should be shot dead or even hanged immediately without any delay because they deserve only death!

Hyderabad Blasts

Hyderabad blasts: IM involvement suspected

Hyderabad blasts: IM involvement suspected

Hyderabad has become the target of terrorism once again, havoc and chaos were the order of the day at Dilshukhnagar, Hyderabad after five different bombs went off at five different places near the foot over bridge in Hyderabad. Over 22 people are feared dead and more than 83 people are injured. Melancholy spread all over the city after there was a deafening blast that was set off a few minutes after 7:00pm. Four other blasts followed claiming the lives of more people.

Dilshukhnagar has been a target of Indian Mujhaideen, the terrorist outfit, since a very long time. Intelligence agencies say that they have been planning a blast since 1999. One of their plans foiled in 2007 when the bomb malfunctioned in Dilshukhnagar while 42 people were killed in Lumbini Park and Gokul Chat. Yesterday's victims were not so lucky. One bomb was spotted before it exploded near Venkatadri theater and another in Saidabad area. This work which was typical of the IM style of terrorism is suspected to be their doing too.

IM earlier targeted the same area near the foot over bridge in Dilsukhnagar. They had the bombs planted on a cycle like earlier too. The suspicion is strengthened by the fact that three of the IM terrorists Imran, Tabrez and Maqbool told the special cell  of the Delhi police that Riyaz Bhaktal, the head of IM assigned them the task of terrorizing Hyderabad.

The final call to conduct the operation could have been the confirmatory “go” given by the chief of the IM and Lashkar terrorists- Hafiz Saeed, to avenge the hanging of Afzal Guru. The Lashkar-e-toiba on Feb 13 through the United Jehad Council threatened that they would avenge the killing, only four days after the hanging of the Parliament attack criminal.

Sushil Kumar Shinde and R K Singh, the home secretary would both leave for Hyderabad today to discuss the further course of action on-the-spot assessment and sharing the intelligence of the Delhi Police on Riyaz Bhaktal.

Hyderabad Bomb Blasts

Hyderabad bomb blasts send shock waves among people

Hyderabad bomb blasts send shock waves among people

The union home minister Sushil Kumar Shinde has today visited the unfortunate place where series of Hyderabad bomb blasts took place in Dilsukhnagar. Dilsukhnagar area, which is supposedly one of the busiest places in the city was not the first time that reportedly entered the target list of terrorists. In fact, a couple of years a bomb was noticed and defused near foot over bridge of Dilsukhnagar. Even after that incident, it was really unfortunate, as per the observers and common people, that proper steps were not taken to prevent such incidents.

Sushil Kumar Shinde last night mentioned to the media that the union home ministry alerted the state governments about the terrorist activities. Nonetheless, he said that there was no specific alert on Hyderabad. Even after alerting, what Kiran sarkar has done? What steps did it take to ensure public safety, are the questions that are being widely discussed across the city irrespective of age groups.

Even TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu, who visited Dilsukhnagar area this morning, has enquired about the incident. He said these bomb blasts are result of negligence of government. Governor ESL Narasimhan, chief minister Kiran Kumar, home minister Sabitha Indra Reddy and other ministers too visited the place.

The kin and kith of the deceased are going to get Rs. 7 lakh exgratia from Andhra Pradesh Government and Rs. 2 lakh exgratia from the prime minister, said Sushil Kumar Shinde.

What happened last night?
At around 7 pm on Thursday night, Dilsukhnagar area was as usual bustling with people. Suddenly, a major explosion took place outside Konark theatre. Within a few seconds another blast took place at Venkatadri theatre. In all, as per various media reports, over a dozen people lost their lives while hundreds of persons got injured out of which ten persons' condition was said to be critical. The injured persons were shifted to nearby hospitals.

Voxpop:
“I was in the city bus. Completed my duty and boarded the bus in Koti. As the bus reached Dilsukhnagar, there was horrible sound that made me think that I lost my ears. After about 10 to 15 seconds, another sound I heard. The bus shook. Then we noticed that bomb blasts occurred. This is unfortunate.”

All in all, it's really unfortunate to note this incident. Andhra Wishesh is deeply saddened by the serial bomb blasts in Hyderabad. It is the time for all of us to (especially the political parties) to put aside the agendas and condemn the terrorism instead of playing blame game. May the souls of the deceased rest in peace!

Camera Wishesh Mini Photography School

Camera Wishesh: Mini Photography School

Good Afternoon readers, hope you are enjoying our daily special exclusive columns on HotBuzz section. Thursdays, we would like to share some of our camera gyaan with you and hence we have come up with a special column, Camera Wishesh where you will have basic photography tutorials online for free.

There are several hundreds of websites that do the same but most of them are from experienced photographers and professionals; some of whose tutorials are not straightforward for the budding amateurs. Here we present to you the lessons in an amateur point of view and what a new photographer learns over the course of his classes is what you learn in a better understanding.

If you are reading further, I will assume that you have a high end point and shoot camera which is capable of adjusting the settings like Shutter Speed, Aperture and ISO or a DSLR.

To begin with our first tutorial, there are a few important components of understanding photography.

1) Exposure and lightning
2) Composition
3) Creativity and techniques
4) Gear

I may have a missed a few others but what I intend to convey is with just these parameters, you can create wonderful photos that will make an impact on the world. Enough talk and lets get started.
Talking about exposure, what is exposure? It is the amount of light is recorded in a picture. If you have too much light, your pictures appear hazy and too bright, blowing away the detail.
 Camera1

Take this picture for example, it would have been a very good picture with the candid expression but the amount of light is turning things brighter than they should have been. The brown hair, the background, and basically everything has too much white.

If you have not enough light, the pictures would look underexposed.
Camera1

If you notice, the picture could have been a great story teller if there was enough light in the background.
Though overexposed and underexposed are theoretical concepts for a good picture, they apply only to conventional pictures. A few pictures are capable of making a great impact despite breaking these rules.  We will get back to the creativity part later but for now we shall see how we control exposure.

Exposure: It can be controlled by several means. On a good camera, you will be able to change three parameters basically
APERTURE
SHUTTER SPEED
ISO
APERTURE:

Camera1

Aperture is the opening inside the lens that can be increased or decreased within a fixed limit and is usually written in numbers like F/1.4, F/1.8, through F/40 or more sometimes. The shorter the number on the denominator, the bigger the size of the aperture. As we can understand the bigger the size of the hole, more the light that enters.

While the primary need to change the aperture is the amount of light, another important aspect that can be controlled via changing the aperture is the depth of field, i.e, the perception of distance in the photograph.

Depth of Field: If the aperture is too big, the light entering the camera from near objects dominates the light from the farther objects bringing the former into sharper focus while the ones in the background are blurred out. But if the aperture is small, the light entering is comparatively uniform and hence all the subjects are in better focus. You can easily make out the distance between the farthest and nearest objects.

If the distance between the farthest and nearest elements of a photo is small, (only the subject is in focus), the picture is known to have a shallow depth of field and if the distance is large it is said to have a greater depth of field. Use smaller F-stop numbers, bigger apertures for a shallow depth of field and the other way around for a greater depth of field.

Camera1

(Shallow Depth of Field)

Camera1

(Deep Depth of Field)

There is a lot more to deal on aperture even in the basics. Let's conclude here for now while you digest the terms and their meanings. We are going to use them a lot in the days to come. See you again on Thursday.

Photography Tip#1: No one shot can be perfect. Try different angles while picturing a similar subject and you will definitely see a new side of the subject.

After poaching heat, rain has brought respite to the people of Hyderabad. The climate has suddenly pleasant on Friday afternoon bringing smiles on the faces of scores. Since Friday being the weekend, many IT employees in the city were all in good moods as climate also turned awesome to have a great weekend.

Last night transformed the climate much more pleasant giving a surprise to everyone this morning. There was a downpour last night and surprisingly it didn't leave the city too dirty and inundated this time. On contrary the city looked more beautiful with wet trees that seemed to be waving its branches in joy at the people, birds looked like they are singing the beautiful songs of life with amazing chirps, the sweet smell of flowers—making everyone wonder whether they were in the same city that has only shown how steadfast a mechanical life would be.

All in all, one would only get a superb feeling spending their weekend today in Hyderabad. Just step out of your homes and get connected to the nature.

Kissing In Public

Kissing in public, still a social taboo in India

Kissing in public, still a social taboo in India

India may be the homeland to the guide for sex, Kamasutra, but a public display of love like hugging and kissing a person is still a social taboo in India. In other words it is an un-do-able act that the society can't embrace regardless of how western we have become over the past few years. The ideology however, is certainly changing in the youth. Inspired by Hollywood or merely trying to get the kick of imitating a western method of showing your love, the way they think about kissing in general or public has been changing.

Talking of the history of the nation, our epic Mahabharata is one of the oldest books that described a complete mouth-to-mouth kiss. So the oldest recorded kiss should be at least 3000 years ago. But here we are today, modern and yet consider kissing too western a habit. It is also in appropriate in many ways to the people around you. The earlier consensus was that a public display of love was inappropriate and the physical intimacy could be restricted to private moments in the bedroom. Today it has crossed the bedroom level. People have started feeling that these moments are nothing to be embarrassed. They are not improper decorum either.

After 1990s when kissing scenes were allowed in the Indian movies, people started learning about kisses and were familiarized with the concept of it being something romantic rather than a taboo. This changing attitude also indicates a changing attitude to many other things that are considered inappropriate now. Love marriages are slowly being embraced in the society as opposed to them being the talk of the town or stories of eloped people in the past. The girl has her say, a veto power in fact, in deciding the bridegroom or the age of her marriage.

However, there are also certain things that we are not comfortable embracing. Not that we are less developed if we don't embrace the west. I am merely pointing out to the fact that we are comfortable with our own ways of expression in a few situations. For instance, we don't tell our mothers that we love them though we do so infinitely. We don't feel the need to let them know through words.

The sole aim of this article is to let the people know that a public display of love is in no way harming a person. If a person feels that he/she wants to convey their love, public or private shouldn't matter. If should, on the other hand, also not be forced just to make a public display. All that matters is the love with which you do it. Happy Valentine's Day.

Over Two Lakhs Marriages In 3 Days

Over 2L marriages in 3 days!

Wedding, wedding, wedding-this is the only word that's popular for next three days, at least in Andhra Pradesh. People following Sanatana Dharma and wishing to enter into wedlock this year are showing keen interest to get married within these three days—February 13,14 and 15 as there are no muhurthams till May after this. In fact, it's no wonder to state that there are Over Two Lakhs Marriages that are going to take place in the state within these three days.

While no muhurtham after 15th could be one reason, for elders, Valentine's Day/week is another reason especially to the youth who wants to mark their wedding day as special as possible. Whatever special it might be, for parents it was apparently tough time engaging priests and wedding halls. If Valentine's Day is the only reason to get married on these days, then it doesn't sound good, opined a few relationship experts who have stressed that the day you marry should become memorable but not marry just because that day is being celebrated by many to mark love. Anyway, Andhra Wishesh wishesh all the beautiful couples-who are carving out new episodes-a happy married life!

Aadhaar Gas link

HC seeks Govt explanation on Aadhaar-Gas link

HC seeks Govt explanation on Aadhaar-Gas link

With Aadhaar card linkage to gas cylinders putting the public on tenterhooks, Andhra Pradesh High Court has questioned Kiran sarkar whether this new rule is being implemented in the other states.  The time given to the government by the High Court is a week. This direction came with regard to a public interest litigation (PIL) filed against by a private employee challenging the government's decision of linking Aadhaar cards with subsidized gas cylinders.

The advocate of the petitioner has told the court that in Hyderabad and Secunderabad, the process of issuing Aadhaar cards was not even completed by 30 per cent and it people were finding it difficult for even enrolling for the card. Further, he said already government has issued voter id cards, ration cards and pan cards. Therefore, these cards can be taken into account for issuing domestic gas cylinders, added the advocate.

Afzal Guru Executed In Tihar Jail

Afzal Guru executed in Tihar Jail!

Government of India confirmed that Afzal Guru has been executed at 8 am this morning at the Tihar Jail. Mohammad Afzal Guru, is a Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorist and is the  prime accused in the attack on parliament in 2001.

He had been sentenced for capital punishment by the Supreme Court in 2004. But later in 2006 he had applied for mercy plea and the sentence was kept in abeyance. However the plea was rejected by the Hon'ble President of India on January 23, this year.

The home ministry has taken up necessary precautions across the Jammu & Kashmir valley to avoid any untoward incidents. Security has been tightened and the valley had been placed under curfew.

In December 2001, 5 heavily-armed terrorists drove into the Parliament complex and opened fire. Nearly 9 people, mostly from the security forces were reportedly killed. The terrorists were shot dead. Afzal was the mastermind behind this attack.
It may be noted that another militant Mohammed Ajmal Amir Kasab, an accused in the 2008 Mumbai attacks was hanged to death in November, 2012. These two militants were facing gallows and were turning a burden to the exchequer. (AW-Aarkay)

Mystery Spot Its Really Weird

Mystery Spot it's really weird!

The Mystery Spot also know to be a gravity hill is a tourist attraction located is a gravitational exception located in the redwood forests just outside of Santa Cruz, California. It is a circular area of effect around 150 feet or 46 meters in diameter and within the Mystery Spot you will be stunned as your perceptions of the laws of physics and gravity are questioned. But don't take our word for it, come and decide for yourself!

The Mystery Spot was discovered in 1939 by a group of surveyors and opened to the public in 1940. The Mystery Spot has amazed and perplexed hundreds of thousands of visitors from all over the world, and many return time and time again to experience these puzzling variations of gravity, perspective, and height.

Mystery1

To say more, as a matter of fact, even though it might sound weird but the operators of the small site which is about 150 feet in diameter claim that it is a place where the laws of physics and gravity do not apply and provide a number of demonstrations in support of these claims, where water seems to flow upwards while people seem to be standing in slanted positions etc. It's absolutely a tilt-induced visual illusion which when experienced by visitors results from the oddly tilted environment as well as standing on a tilted floor.

Whats inside!

Inside the tilted room of the Mystery Spot, misconceptions of the height and orientation of objects occur. Even when people are standing outside on a level ground, the slant of the building in the background causes misconception as we judge the height of people using the slant of the roof rather than the true horizon.

Some speculate that cones of metal were secretly brought here and buried in our earth as guidance systems for their spacecraft. Some think that it is in fact the spacecraft itself buried deep within the ground. Other theories include carbon dioxide permeating from the earth, a hole in the ozone layer, a magma vortex, the highest dielectric biocosmic radiation known anywhere in the world, and radiesthesia.

Some pictures of the mystery spot...

Whatever the cause is, it remains a mystery!
