Serial Blast at Bodh Gaya in Bihar rocked the area on Sunday Morning.  A total of 10 blasts in which the first one went off at 5.45 a.m. all in and around the famous shrine of Buddhists.  The blasts took place after the daily chanting for 30 minutes was over and were going in to the temple for doing meditation after that.  

Mahabodhi temple is the place where Buddha had realization as the Buddhists believe and it is a place of worship for many pilgrims all over the world.  Intelligence agencies say that the incident may be a retort from Muslim terrorists for the recent violence in Myanmar where Muslim groups were targeted.  The agencies were having information that Buddhist places will be the targets of Indian Muzahideen.

Delhi vigilance says that the Bihar Government did not take their prior intimation of suspected attacks.  The Chief Minister of Bihar Nitish Kumar rushed to the spot.  He said that he requested the center to send NIA for investigation and Central Industrial Security Force to take rescue operations.  

BJP criticized JD(U) Government and shouted slogan against it and called for a bundh to day.  

The Special Task Force arrested Anwar Hussain Mullick at Kolkata bus stand on Saturday in the late hours who was found having possession of fake Indian Currency and explosives.  They are thinking in the lines of a connection between the terrorists’ organization he works with and the serial blasts in Bodh Gaya.  

The authorities say that the main Buddha Idol is not damaged in the blasts.The Ministry of Home Affairs sent alerts to all Buddhists' places of worship in the Country in the wake of the blasts at Bodh Gaya.

An Old Building In Capital Collapsed

An Old Building In Capital Collapsed | Building Collapsed in Secunderabad

An age old building on Rashtrapati Road (RP Road) in Securnderabad collapsed today in the early morning at about 6.55 am.  The two storey building that housed a restaurant called City Light Hotel first tilted to its left side and then collapsed.   So far 18 persons are rescued and shifted to Gandhi Hospital and 6 out of them are reported to have dead.  

No one is in a position to ascertain the actual number of persons in the building when it came down.  Authorities are estimating that a number of 20 may be still there either live or dead.  But the locals and eye witnesses say that about 50 persons may be there under the debris waiting for the rescue teams to get them out.  The debris show red soil with which it was constructed and also it shows that the construction is very old.

Locals first went to the rescue of the persons that were struck up under the debris.  Then Fire department, police and municipality personnel reached the spot.  Main reason for the collapse is said to be of its coming of age.  And added to it a water tank is recently constructed on the roof of the building that might have made the building buckle.  

As it is a busy place with many going to the restaurant to have a cup of tea in the morning and a loaded truck also is found there with sand crew of which might have gone in to the ill fated building at that time, altogether a number of at least 40 persons are expected to be there under the debris as per the locals’ statement.  

GHMC says that it served a notice long back to evacuate the building as it was old enough not hold any more.  But no one related to the restaurant is available to give the information about the collapse and possible loss.

His album in the best selling class was 'Thriller' in 1982.  Then he became popular as a solo singer and song writer.  Michael Jackson who rocked the music world with his unforgettable music numbers was born on 29th August, 1958 and met a sudden and unexpected death on 25th June 2009 i.e., exactly 4 years ago in reality conquered death by living in the hearts of millions of his fans.  

Leaving his personal life, debts and controversy over his death aside, he stands apart from other solo pop singers by contributing to the pop music that is always memorable.

Hidden Treasure In Shiva Temple

Some hidden treasure was found under the Dhwaja Stambham of Ksheera Rama Lingeswara Swamy Temple in Palakol in West Godavari District.  The Dhwaja Stambham fell down in the month of November last year.  While the re-erecting is going on some gold and silver and copper coins were found. 

Archeological department is counting and assessing the value of the treasure which as they say, will be revealed after the counting work is over.

Palakol Ksheera Rama Lingeswara Swamy temple is one of the Pancharamas in Andhra Pradesh.  When the Dhwaja Stambham fell down many feared that something bad may happen.    But the hidden treasure makes the temple rich now for taking up devotional activities in a better way.

As scholars say, the property of the temple used to be hidden to safe guard from the thieves and bandits as there were no Banks to deposit the funds of the temple.  Now the temple authorities have an additional responsibility of protecting the treasure and also see that no un-authorized digging will take place. 

Palkol incidentally is the birth place of some cinema personalities like Allu Ramalingaiah, Dasari Narayana Rao, Kodi Ramakrishna and others.

Who is this new internet sensation Sampoornesh Babu? 

Fondly known as Sampu, or so he claims, Sampoornesh Babu is today an internet sensation on Facebook and Twitter. He is so popular that popular Tollywood stars are keeping a watch over him. Heroes face immediate threat with his entry into Tollywood because he has turned into a star overnight. How, you ask?

That's how!

There is no Telugu speaking guy with a Facebook account who doesn't know about Sampu. He has a statewide fans association without even releasing any significant part of the movie. Director Raja Mouli has expressed interest in his movie teaser trailer and retweeted it for the world to know.

Who is he?

Sampoornesh claims he hails from Texas where friends said he could be a great hero. Skeptical at first, he was not sure until his colleagues at office too suggested the same. (It must have been a very elaborate prank). That is when the arrow of realization struck his knee, the center of intelligence. He rushed to India to become a hero.

Disheartened, and at times slipping into medical depression, at the state of Tollywood movies, after comparing them to Hollywood standards he says, he wants to change the way the movies in our mother tongue are perceived by the audience. He wanted to start off with a big director, naming the likes of Raja Mouli and Poori Jagannadh, and produce the movies himself. This was when his director brought out the “mindblowing” script of Hrudaya Kaleyam. Sampoornesh couldn't pass up an opportunity like this. He immediately signed up for the movie.

Shooting is underway and more than half of the movie is yet to be shot he says. Hrudaya Kaleyam he expects to be released by the end of next month if all goes well. Let us see, how much of a joke this project is when it releases or will someone extremely generous and benevolent  would force some brain into him!

What if offers are there when not able to take?  In that case offers or no offers do not make any difference.  TV anchor Anasuya who became very popular nowadays with Jabardasth and Bindas TV shows not only for her anchoring talent but also for her beauty and charm, is getting offers from the cinema field.

An offer from Trivikram Srinivas to dance for an item song with Pawan Kalyan in his ‘Attharintiki Daredi’ was turned down by her to consider more acting based roles.  She was offered a role in ‘Rece Gurram’ of Allu Arjun but she says that her present commitments on TV are clashing with those dates.  So it was turned down too.  

She did not reveal whether or not anybody suggested her to avail the chances when they are offered and you don’t get when you want it.  More over a heroine’s life span in the cinema industry is very much limited.  If you deduct the no offers time the time still gets shortened.  If you don’t accept some of the offers, you are making it shrink further.  Now you can calculate how much time you got and how much you make to maintain your figure all the time without deducting the idle time out of it.  Because whether you are in it or not you have to maintain your charm!

Causing intense horror, UN climate chief Christiana Figueres said on Monday that the world has entered a "New Danger Zone" having a record level of Earth-warming carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.

While furthering with the fact, she expressed in a statement urging policy action adding that with a CO2 level of 400 parts per million (ppm) announced last week, the highest in human history, the world "crossed an historic threshold and entered a new danger zone.

According to the experts, the level measured by US monitors has not been seen in three to five million years that's a time when Earth’s temperatures were several degrees Celsius warmer and the sea level was 20 to 40 meters (22 to 44 yards) higher than today.

The 400 ppm threshold had been expected to be fractured for some time, but campaigners say it should nevertheless serve as a wake-up call in efforts to curb greenhouse gas emissions through fossil fuel use.

Even Figueres said that the world must wake up and take note of what this means for human security, human welfare and economic development.

As a horrific factor at the conclusion that in the face of clear and present danger, we need a policy response which truly rises to the challenge.

It's a critical threat to humankind therefore the action needs to be spontaneous!

9 Years Advance Booking For One Side Journey

Lakhs of people are ready for a one side journey to Mars by space craft that is going to take off in 2022.  

A private Dutch organization's announcement inviting applications for a journey to Mars in 2022 attracted 78000 applicants so far.   As 31st August is the last date for applying for the Journey.  Although the return is not guaranteed by the research firm, the applications reached so far is 78000 and it indicates that more applications lakhs in number are expected.  

It shows that there is no dearth for the people interested in adventures.  

The private space research organization is going to conduct survey on Mars about the atmosphere suitable for living, water resources and construction activity for human dwelling and other things related to human habitat.  The selected ones will be imparted training to look after themselves to survive in odd conditions.  

The scene will be like earliest inhabitants (Adivasis) on Earth enacted by modern people on a different stage.  The difference is the modern counter parts developed communication skills, technically advanced and above all know their purpose of living on the planet where as the mankind on Earth had to start from scratch and bite and still do not know the purpose of life on Earth and the art of living with Nature.

Kalyanram rules out rift between Babu-Harikrishna 

Actor Kalyanaram has commented on the rumours in the air that there was a rift between TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu and NTR's son Harikrishna. In fact, earlier Harikrishna came before the media and condemned the speech of Balakrishna against his son. Later, he didn't take part in the concluding ceremony of Vastunna Meekosam padayatra. These instances apparently gave enough scope for the media to speculate if there was any difference between Harikrishna and Chandrababu Naidu.

Ruling out all these speculations, Kalyanaram has said that the alleged rift between these two personalities was just a cooked up story by the media. Kalyanram sought blessings of Lord Sri Venkateshwara in Tirumala this morning where he made these statements.

Congress has been facing more criticism than appraisal in the past few months. Let us face the truth, there are in face people from every economic section who have been displeased with the policies of the Congress party. If the party wishes to remain in power after the 2014 general elections, it has to deal with at least three strategies. Three Targets For Congress Party

Power shortage, scarcity of basic commodities like drinking water and high inflation of essential goods. This was revealed by a survey from the intelligence department of a private agency in Hyderabad which is not a big surprise at all. Power shortage is the most felt loss unanimously all over the state.

Three hours of no power on average per day through out the state is a huge burden. Basic amenities are poor like water supply etc. If the government cannot workout a proper strategy for the same, they should expect a gaping void in the vote bank. With the prices of day-to-day commodities rising higher to prohibitory prices has only put off the crowd who blame the government for not being able to control the prices of the most basic requirements.

The only fact that Congress is still in the fray is the Re 1 per kilo of rice scheme that has been fetching it a lot of support for the party. Even opposition parties' criticism is not stopping them from the continuation of the scheme due to its acceptance in the public. The same can be said for Indiramma housing scheme.

The people however disgruntled with the government after the fee-reimbursement scheme is no longer as attractive. With Rajiv Yuva Kiranalu, Kiran Kumar Reddy's favorite project, not being as well received, Congress has a lot of ground to cover before the next General Elections.

Happy Birthday Sachin

On Wednesday, Sachin Tendulkar turned 40 with cricket administrators and his fans lining up a series of events to celebrate the senior Indian batsman, who will also appear in an IPL match.

Moreover, the Mumbai Indians batsman, who happens be to here for his IPL team's clash against Kolkata Knight Riders, will begin the day with a customary cake-cutting ceremony at the team hotel.

In a course of action, the Cricket Association of Bengal celebrated Tendulkar's birthday a day in advance by cutting a 10-pound cake in the presence of 100 blind students. Visually challenged students from Narendrapur Ramakrishna Mission Blind School and Light House for the Blind cut the cake in the evening.

A message from the CAB read that they are overwhelmed with joy and they want Tendulkar to live 100 years.

Interestingly, on Wednesday, 40-pound cake cutting ceremony will be a private affair near the dressing room and Tendulkar's wife Anjali joined him on Tuesday night along with team owner Nita Ambani for more celebrations.

The chocolate cake will be made up from special cocoa from Ghana and Madagascar while it will have an image of Tendulkar and it could genuinely be that of the World Cup-winning moment of April 2, 2011.

Fact-fully, in a career spanning 24 years, Tendulkar has got almost all the batting record to his name other than Brian Lara’s Test highest of 400 not out.

Tendulkar, who has called it quits from the ODI format to prolong his Test career, has a gigantic 18,426 runs from 463 matches with 49 hundreds at an average of 44.83. In fact, in the leading run-getters list of Test matches, Tendulkar is sitting on 15837 runs with 51 hundreds, way ahead of South African veteran Jacques Kallis who with 13128 runs is the only playing batsman to be in the race at fourth place.

As a concluding fact, Tendulkar has played only one T20 for India as he has limited his Twenty20 ambition to his franchise Mumbai Indians in the IPL.

Google Celebrates Earth Day 2013

Absolute interestingly, this year's Earth Day is being celebrated with an interactive Google doodle.

Furthermore, featuring on the search engine's homepage, as usual, users can play and pause a moving 'sun' or 'moon' on four different images.

As a matter of fact, Earth Day is held every year on April 22 to highlight green issues. In fact, events are held around the world to illustrate support for environmental protection.

The first ever Earth Day was held in 1970, although the name and concept was pioneered a year earlier by activist John McConnell.

As a concluding fact, planting trees in the most common way people support the day.

Let us plant more trees and make the world a much better place to stay!

Left Bandh Evokes Poor Response

The Left parties have called for a statewide bandh today to mark a protest against the increase of surcharges. The bandh reportedly evoked low response especially in twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. Buses in the city were plying normally and all commercial establishments rolled up their shutters as usually.

Despite many leaders appealing to Left parties for withdrawing their bandh calls, Left leaders are going ahead with the bandhs. In fact, the leaders hit the roads in the early hours of Tuesday and tried to obstruct the traffic. In fact, CPI state secretary Narayana and CPM state secretary Raghavulu were arrested by the police at MG bus station in Hyderabad. The leaders, when they were arrested, told the media that they would continue to fight until the government roll backs its prices.

Young NTR who has been allegedly dragged into controversies by setting up the flexis by YSRC leaders and subsequent warnings of Balakrishna threatening him with dire consequences if he's not going to respond/condemn on using his photographs in flexi, NTR finally came before the media and responded on the issue. NTR has said that he would not support any political party except TDP as it was founded by his grandfather NT Rama Rao.

Mr NTR who took part in the success meet of Baadshah last night has made it clear that he would extend his support to TDP always. Also, he urged not to drag him into controversies and said it would not be right to talk politics in movie success meet. Much before NTR's success meet, his father Hari Krishna spoke to the media and said that anyone who loves legendary NTR can use his photo and questioned as to why his son and family should suffer because of someone's actions. Also, he subtly found fault with Balakrishna and termed those statements (threatening with dire consequences) as unfortunate.

Anyway, now that young NTR finally came and cleared the rumours in the air, the flexi row seemed to be curtained.

Padma Awards Given Away At Rashtrapati Bhawan

Padma award function is conducted at Rashtrapati Bhawan today in which Vice President Hamid Ansari, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Minister for Home Susheel Shinde and others attended.

Rahul Dravid from sports, Ramanayudu, Sridevi, Sharmila Tagore, Bapu and many others were given away the Padma aswards through the hands of the President of India, Pranab Mukherjee. 

Dr.Daggubati Ramanaidu and film star Sharmila Tagore and Cricketer Rahul Dravid were given Padma Bhushan Award while Sridevi is honored with Padma Shri. 

Other persons belong to Andhra Pradesh to receive awards in differenct fields are, Legend artist Sattiraju Laxinarayana popularly know as Bapu, Gajam Anjaiah, handloom artist, Surabhi Babji stage artist, Dr.M.Ramakrishna Raju and Dr.Jayaraman Gowri Shankar in Science and Engineering category, Dr.Venkata Sundara Ram for medicine, Dr.Radhika for literature.

No one from Andhra Pradesh received Padma Vibhushan award.

Badminton Sensation Turns Down Rs.1.5 Cr Offer

All the admirers of Jwala Gutta, here's some exciting piece of information to you! Badminton sensation Jwala Gutta, who in an interview said she doesn't mind getting into films, surprised everyone by sticking to her words and shaking legs with a young hero in the upcoming film. With her super hot looks and all, producers thought personality has now come to set silver screens on fire but the young woman disappointed all of them.

Jwala Gutta recently turned down a proposal of Rs. 1.5 crore. She was actually invited to be a judge of a reality show which demands around 40 days and that too weekends and the offer was 1.5 crore rupees. She right away said no without even a second thought. And it's not because of remuneration but just for her dedication towards badminton.

Jwala said badminton comes first to her and anything comes after that. Now that she's totally occupied with training stuff for the upcoming event, chances are very grim for producers to approach her for dates. That's probably why Jwala Gutta is being looked upon by many...More than her hot looks, her dedication makes anyone go gaga over her! Great going Jwala...Good luck!

Jayapradha Curtains Confusion Among Observers!

MP Jayapradha seems to be joining YSRC if we have to go by what analysts say. In fact, she hailing late YSR on Wednesday itself gave strength to the speculations that have been rife over Jayapradha's political future. While observers were seriously wondering as to which party Jaya Pradesh would jump into, she interestingly came out with a set of praises that brought smiles on YSRC activists and leaders. Wouldn't this be enough to come to conclusion that she would join YSRC, questioned observers when Andhra Wishesh asked them whether Jayapradha would join which political party.

Observers, while ruling out her chances of joining TDP, have said that Jayapradha was once in TDP and she came out only because of the differences she apparently had with its supremo Chandrababu Naidu. In fact, she recently told the media that Samajwadi party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav and TDP surpremo Chandrababu Naidu were opportunists. So there are absolutely grim or no chances of her going back to TDP or SP for that matter.

Therefore, there are only two options available before her-one being BJP and the other one being YSRC. While the confusion was high among observers, Jayapradha almost curtained the confusion by hailing YSR and even his daughter Sharmila over her padayatra.

Will Jayapradha win if she contests from Andhra Pradesh for Lok Sabha constituency from any party for that matter? People seemed to have almost forgotten her. Anyway, lets wait and watch as to what future has to offer her!

Every time there was something revolutionary about the services offered, and this time the quality of the services has hit a new level of never being heard before. Google Nose, is a completely novel technology which allows you to sense different kinds of smells with just a few key strokes.

The interface also shows you what are the most searched smells on the internet and the recently searched smells. Just type in the smell on the search bar and hit enter. Keep your nose close to the screen of your laptop and there will be a few chemical changes triggered in the monitor that will allow your screen to generate the distinct smells from the screen directly.

If you want it put more technically, (I'm talking to you, geeks), Google explains the phenomenon by the process of intersecting photons with ultrasound waves to temporarily realign the molecules to emulate a particular scent.

Google Now integration for Android 4.1 and above will allow them to submit smells to find out what it is. The details of all various smells are stored in Google Aromabase where specific smells are stored distinctly. A safe-search mode can be enabled. The scents in Aromabase were all collected by Google Street Sense vehicles that went around thousands of streets in every city picking up the aromas. SMELLCD 1.8+ high-resolution gives you the best precise and controlled odours.

Nita Ambani Offers Prayers In Hyderabad

Reliance Industries Limited chairman Mukesh Ambani's wife, Nita Ambani has today visited Balkampet Ellamma temple in Hyderabad. She offered special prayers to the presiding deity Yellamma Ammavaru at the temple.

The temple authorities have welcomed her with a garland. She even kept a bonam on her head (a pot decorated with vermillion and turmeric) in which cooked rice is offered to the deity as gratitude.

Temple authorities, after performance of the rituals, presented her holy clothes that included even saree. Nita Ambani was draped in a simple wheat colored salwar kameez.  Balkampet Yellamma temple is a famous shrine that attracts people from across the country especially during Bonaalu festival.

Aadhaar Online Slot Booking Not Available in AP

With barely three days to go for the deadline to linking Aadhaar (unique identification number) cards with LPG gas connections, people are running pillar to posts in getting their names enrolled for the cards. The original deadline for Aadhaar card to get subsidized gas cylinder was in the second week of February. However, due to the continuous uproar from the opposition parties besides the public demand, the Centre has extended the deadline by a month. And now that deadline seems to be approaching at brisk speed and number of people for getting enrolled for Aadhaar is still-more or less-the same.

While telephone system came in to place a few days ago at some centres in Hyderabad for a swift enrollment, online system is also made available by the concerned authority. Astonishingly, when it came to Andhra Pradesh, the online slot booking for Aadhaar reportedly failed terribly.

In the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDIA) website, there's an option 'get an appointment.' Upon clicking this page, a user will be redirected to a new web page wherein one can enter details and submit the same for an appointment. What's even more astonishing is that in the state/ut option,  Andhra Pradesh is no where to be seen.

The public expressed their grievance over the same and asked the concerned officials to look into the same.

Kartina Not A Part Of Imtiazs Next Film

'I have a great respect for Imtiaz as a film maker, but I am not a part of his next film. I am tied up with big projects like 'Dhoom - 3' with Amir Khan and 'Bang Bang' with Hritik Roshan in coming months. I cannot devote dates for any other film as of now', said Actress Katrina Kaif denying all the rumors about she working with the film maker in his fourth coming film, the lean Man being Ranbir Kapoor.

But the rumors about this act of Katrina say, the actress opted out of the film because of Ranbir's involvement. But, some sources close to the actress deny this. They say, 'Katrina believes in giving her best for her every film and this makes the actress to not to work in more films at a time. Ranbir has nothing to do with Katrina not being a part of Imtiaz's next. These are purely cooked up stories that have no meaning', said the sources.

Flying fish (Exocoetidae) can be seen jumping out of warm ocean waters worldwide.
Historically, Barbados was nicknamed "the land of the flying fish", where today it is the official national fish. Once abundant, it migrated between the warm, coral-filled Atlantic Ocean surrounding the island of Barbados and the plankton-rich outflows of the Orinoco River in Venezuela.

As the fact remains, their streamlined torpedo shape helps them gather enough underwater speed to break the surface, and their large, wing-like pectoral fins get them airborne.

Flying fish are thought to have evolved this remarkable gliding ability to escape predators, of which they have many and their killers include mackerel, tuna, swordfish, marlin, and other larger fish. Flying fish are known to feed on a variety of foods, including plankton for their sustenance.

An important fact prevails that there are about 40 known species of flying fish and beyond their useful pectoral fins, all have unevenly forked tails, with the lower lobe longer than the upper lobe while many species have enlarged pelvic fins as well and are known as four-winged flying fish.

  How they fly?
  Now, coming to the process of taking flight, or gliding, begins by gaining great velocity underwater, about 37 miles (60 kilometers) per hour while angling upward, the four-winged flying fish breaks the surface and begins to taxi by rapidly beating its tail while it is still beneath the surface. It then takes to the air, sometimes reaching heights over 4 feet (1.2 meters) and gliding long distances, up to 655 feet (200 meters).   Interestingly, Flying fish are attracted to light, like a number of sea creatures, and fishermen take advantage of this with substantial results.
