Who Is This New Internet Sensation

Who is this new internet sensation Sampoornesh Babu? 

Fondly known as Sampu, or so he claims, Sampoornesh Babu is today an internet sensation on Facebook and Twitter. He is so popular that popular Tollywood stars are keeping a watch over him. Heroes face immediate threat with his entry into Tollywood because he has turned into a star overnight. How, you ask?

That's how!

There is no Telugu speaking guy with a Facebook account who doesn't know about Sampu. He has a statewide fans association without even releasing any significant part of the movie. Director Raja Mouli has expressed interest in his movie teaser trailer and retweeted it for the world to know.

Who is he?

Sampoornesh claims he hails from Texas where friends said he could be a great hero. Skeptical at first, he was not sure until his colleagues at office too suggested the same. (It must have been a very elaborate prank). That is when the arrow of realization struck his knee, the center of intelligence. He rushed to India to become a hero.

Disheartened, and at times slipping into medical depression, at the state of Tollywood movies, after comparing them to Hollywood standards he says, he wants to change the way the movies in our mother tongue are perceived by the audience. He wanted to start off with a big director, naming the likes of Raja Mouli and Poori Jagannadh, and produce the movies himself. This was when his director brought out the “mindblowing” script of Hrudaya Kaleyam. Sampoornesh couldn't pass up an opportunity like this. He immediately signed up for the movie.

Shooting is underway and more than half of the movie is yet to be shot he says. Hrudaya Kaleyam he expects to be released by the end of next month if all goes well. Let us see, how much of a joke this project is when it releases or will someone extremely generous and benevolent  would force some brain into him!

Aah and our media. They have no qualms wasting digital space on anything that will make them popular, regardless of how mortifyingly-degrading the job is! Zee 24 hrs has taken a dig at the “internet sensation”
